Travel || Makan Makan Asian Food Village @ Manila Ocean Park

Boyfriend and I went to our city's ocean park last week and it was one of the most memorable dates we've ever done.
I've always wanted to try going somewhere we can both learn and discover new things.
That's why we love watching movies. It's our way of gathering and talking about new ideas and still practicing our debate skills whenever we disagree on some points.
I find it so fun when we disagree and we really challenge each other's minds.

In between the attractions we visited (see previous post here), we EAT.
It's like we cannot enjoy ourselves without having a snack or two first.
Here are the meals we had.
I still feel so happy while looking at these.

Hainanese Chicken.
This is a really fresh take on cooking chicken. It's lightly cooked and has no added flavoring on the chicken itself. It's paired with three sauces--soy sauce, chili and garlic. It all compliments the taste of the chicken. The rice is tasty as well. It's not the ordinary rice because it's not only steamed, it was cooked with chicken broth, I think. I'm not sure but it turned out great.

You can see the recipe here.

Char Kway Teo.
This is a sweet Singapore noodle dish made of chow fun rice noodles. I don't really recognize the ingredients but it was so delicious! It can fill you up quickly and you'll regret feeling full because you'll want more.

Here's the recipe.

Mango pudding.
Being an Asian, I am obsessed with pearls or, as we call it in the Philippines, sago. It's a sweet and chewy ingredient that is perfectly mixed with milk tea and most of Asian desserts.

Recipe can be found here.

Halo-halo.
Another mixed kind of dessert from the Philippines. It's everything with crushed ice and ube ice cream. It has nata de coco, banana, jelly, nuts, sweet potato, and a lot more sweet ingredients. The sweetness is balanced by the ice and milk.

Do this dessert! Check out the recipe here.

Drop by my giveaway! It's still open :)
